Refunds and returns overview

DMAKings sells specialized hardware and digital products intended for technical users. All sales are final except as expressly stated in this policy. By completing a purchase, you agree to this Refund and Returns Policy.

For California customers and other U.S. customers, our limited/no‑refund policy is clearly disclosed prior to checkout and applies to all online orders.

Hardware products (physical goods)

All sales final – limited exceptions

Except as described below, hardware purchases are non‑returnable and non‑refundable once an order is placed.

DMAKings may, at its sole discretion, offer a repair, replacement, store credit, or refund only in the following limited cases:

  • The product is defective on arrival (DOA) or fails under normal use within 7 days of delivery.
  • The wrong product was shipped compared to the order confirmation.
  • The shipment was lost or never delivered, as confirmed by the carrier.

We do not accept returns or issue refunds for:

  • Buyer’s remorse, incorrect ordering, or incompatibility with third‑party hardware, software, or systems.
  • Products that have been installed, modified, flashed, physically altered, or damaged through misuse, improper handling, overclocking, or improper environment.
  • Any product returned without prior written authorization.

RMA and evaluation process

To request an exception (DOA / wrong item), you must:

  1. Contact support@dmakings.com within 7 days of delivery with your order number, a detailed description of the issue, and clear photos/video of the product and packaging.
  2. Wait for RMA instructions. Unauthorized returns may be refused or discarded.
  3. Ship the item using a trackable method to the address we provide.

Once received, DMAKings will inspect and test the product:

  • If the product is confirmed defective or incorrect due to DMAKings’ error, DMAKings will, at its discretion, repair, replace, or issue a refund or store credit and may reimburse reasonable return shipping costs.
  • If the product is found to be fully functional or damaged by misuse, improper installation, or modification, no refund or replacement will be issued and the product may be returned to you at your expense.

Restocking and fees

Because all hardware sales are final, any voluntary accommodation (for example, accepting a return outside the DOA/incorrect item cases) is purely discretionary:

  • Any approved non‑defect return is subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% of the product price to cover testing, handling, and repackaging.
  • Shipping charges are non‑refundable, and you are responsible for return shipping unless DMAKings explicitly agrees in writing to cover it.

DMAKings reserves the right to refuse any return or refund request that appears abusive, fraudulent, or inconsistent with this policy.

Digital products (software, licenses, firmware, downloads)

All digital sales final

Due to the nature of digital goods, all digital product sales are final. No refunds or returns are provided once access is granted, a license key is issued, or a download link is delivered, including but not limited to:

  • Downloadable software, tools, and utilities
  • Firmware, configuration files, and scripts
  • License keys, activation codes, and other access credentials

By purchasing a digital product, you acknowledge that:

  • You receive immediate access to the content and therefore waive any “cooling‑off” or cancellation rights that might otherwise apply where permitted by law.
  • You are responsible for ensuring compatibility with your hardware, operating system, and environment before purchase.

Limited digital exceptions

DMAKings may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund or credit for digital products only in these limited cases:

  • Duplicate purchase of the same digital product under the same account.
  • A verified technical problem on DMAKings’ side that prevents access or download and cannot be resolved within a reasonable time.
  • A listing error where the delivered digital product materially differs from the description.

We do not provide refunds for:

  • Change of mind or dissatisfaction with features where the product functions as described.
  • Incompatibility with third‑party hardware, software, or systems when the product was accurately described.
  • Loss of access due to customer‑side issues such as forgotten credentials, misconfigured systems, blocking security software, or ISP restrictions.

Cancellations

Orders for digital products cannot be canceled once the order is completed and access or license delivery has begun.

Orders for hardware may only be canceled prior to shipment label creation. After a label is created, DMAKings may treat the order as final; any cancellation approved after this point may incur a processing fee of up to 5% to cover payment and handling costs.

Shipping and risk of loss (hardware)

  • Shipping costs paid at checkout are non‑refundable.
  • Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery confirmation by the carrier to the shipping address provided.
  • For any approved return, you are responsible for properly packaging the item and using a trackable, insured shipping method. DMAKings is not responsible for items lost or damaged in transit during a return shipment.

Important note: an “all sales final” policy is generally enforceable if clearly disclosed, but it cannot override mandatory rights for defective goods, false advertising, or other consumer protection rules.
